Are You Using Vitamin C to Control Gout Uric Acid? Make Sure You Read This Now

If you’re like most people, then you’ll no doubt be surprised to hear that controlling your gout, uric acid levels, and symptoms can be as simple as drinking orange juice!

A Spanish study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in September of 2003 showed that uric acid levels are lowered by the vitamin C in orange juice.

In the study, six women and six men were required to drink two glasses of orange juice every day for two weeks. They needed to drink a 250ml glass in the morning, and another one in the afternoon, for a total of 500ml per day. This typically meant that they were taking in an additional 250mg of vitamin C each day.

The rest of the diet throughout the two-week period, provided each of the participants with about 136mg of vitamin C a day for the men, and 112mg for the women. This made the daily intake of vitamin C for the male participants 386mg and for the female participants, it was 362mg.

After the two-week period had passed, the level of vitamin C in the bloodstream of men had risen by 52 percent, while it had risen in women by 22 percent. However, it should be pointed out that the women had higher levels of vitamin C in their bloodstream, to begin with.

But even better was the fact that after two weeks, the male participants had reduced their levels of uric acid by approximately 12.5 percent, while the women had reduced their levels by 6.5 percent. By the end of the vitamin C study, every participant had reduced his or her gout uric acid levels.

Researchers consider this to be very important news; especially considering that it was only an increase of 250mg daily (compared to a typical vitamin C supplement, which is 500 to 1000mg) and the study only lasted only two weeks.

They believe that drinking twice as much juice over a longer time period, for example, a month or six months, or even a lifetime, could help to permanently reduce uric acid levels and prevent gout attacks because even greater reductions in uric acid levels could be achieved.

However, keep in mind that this study was performed on healthy individuals aged 20 to 32. Also, most medications prescribed to reduce uric acid will lower levels more substantially and quickly than relying on vitamin C therapy alone.

The upside of the Vitamin C approach is that it’s a lot more pleasant than taking drugs and also cheaper. Plus there are none of the nasty side effects that many gout drugs have. But if you’re thinking of using vitamin C to lower your uric acid levels, you should first speak to your doctor.

A substantially larger study performed in 2005 tested vitamin C’s efficacy for reducing uric acid levels.

Researchers from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland and published their study results in the June Arthritis and Rheumatism journal of the same year which used dietary supplements of 500 mg instead of orange juice. The researchers saw similar reductions in uric acid levels.

This is important news, as it is vital for sufferers to reduce gout uric acid levels before permanent damage is done to the various affected joints.

Gout is NOT for life — I cured 3 years of gout in 4 weeks

First, let me tell you: you have all my sympathy. I know exactly what you’re going through. When I had gout it was the worst pain I’d ever experienced. I honestly thought I was going to suffer it for the rest of my life.

I know gout will be pretty unpleasant for you too. But what do we do about it?

Eat less meat? Drink less alcohol? Drink more water? Follow the usual advice?

I did all that. It made zero difference to me. The pain remained as bad as ever. Our doctors mean well but the medications they prescribe are trying to manage the disease rather than cure it.

That’s not what a gout sufferer wants. I wanted that disease cured, not managed. I’m guessing you’re the same. Yet researchers from the US and Europe have already worked out what causes gout.

In fact, they’ve known for some years now.

And there is a drug-free natural health program that turns that knowledge into a cure. It has now worked for thousands of us.

It’s not complicated. I had gout for three years. I got rid of it in four weeks.

Since then?

More than two years with no flare-ups. No pain. No nothing. Simply no gout.

It’s your turn now. Let me tell you how it works.

The Most Effective Cure For Gout — Cherries

If you find yourself asking “do cherries help with gout?” then this article is for you. Gout is an extremely problematic form of arthritis that results from the buildup of uric acid inside the bloodstream and bodily tissues.

This excess uric acid begins forming extremely painful crystals which are deposited in a variety of places throughout the body (I get mine in and around the big toes on both feet, especially by the “sesamoid” bone).

While I have personally used a combination of ibuprofen and turmeric to relieve my pain (a combo that has worked very well for me), there is also a lot of talk about the therapeutic role that cherries can play in reducing gout symptoms. But is there any merit to the claim? Do cherries help with gout? Let’s explore…

The most common reason for gout to develop in humans is the overconsumption of purine-rich foods (like meat) and chemicals such as alcohol. For this reason, gout is largely considered a lifestyle condition that can be both prevented and treated through responsible dietary practices.

Of course, not all of us are willing to give up our ribeye steaks and other indulgences, which is why we must look into natural treatments to counteract our gout symptoms as much as possible.

Raw, high-water content foods, for example, when sufficiently added to the diet can go a long way toward diluting the uric acid in the body. Fresh salads are great choices. And fresh fruit also bears a lot of promise.

Fresh Cherries and Gout — What’s the Connection?

This leads us to cherries, considered by many to be the ultimate fruit for the treatment of gout. Cherries have many powerful anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and hydrating properties, along with them being as delicious as can be! Consuming cherries on a fairly regular basis may contribute to less intense and less frequent attacks, but should not be relied on to stop gout altogether.

Essentially, cherries help with gout because they are able to draw more uric acid out of the blood and into the urine for immediate expulsion from the body. Dark cherries and ruby reds alike have been shown to have wonderfully therapeutic effects on a number of individuals with gout.

Dark Cherries and Gout

Dark cherries (also known as sweet cherries) are naturally low in calories and are surprisingly loaded with healthy fiber. In addition, they are rich in the analgesic (pain-relieving) chemical melatonin. So by all means, load up on yummy sweet cherries when you feel an attack coming on and you may be able to stop it from becoming unbearable.

Dark cherries are also a tremendous source of high-quality, bio-available antioxidants that the body can use to dramatically bolster the immune system. Add to this the cherries’ natural ability to reduce inflammation-causing nitric oxide, and these magic little fruits may just be able to lower your chances of developing heart disease and diabetes, in addition to gout.

Ruby-Red Cherries for Gout?

The sour variety of cherries (known as ruby-reds) act similarly to sweet cherries in that they can reduce both inflammation and pain, and they have also been shown to decongest arteries of those nasty crystals caused by excess uric acid.

This particular type of cherry contains lots of vitamin A and is also very low in calories. According to recent studies, the consumption of approximately one hundred grams of cherries on a daily basis may very well play a role in significantly reducing the intensity of gout symptoms.

While you can certainly use cherries for baking and other cooking purposes, I am always sickened by the thought of weakening a fruit’s or vegetable’s nutritious and rejuvenating goodness by cooking them… so please just eat them raw!

Do Cherries Help With Gout? Conclusion:

Yes, cherries can have a wonderful effect on lessening gout’s debilitating effects on us, provided we load ourselves up with their inflammatory-reducing, pain-relieving goodness. But by no means should this suggest that they are the be-all-end-all. I would also recommend my preferred relief duo, which is ibuprofen and turmeric.

How Long Does it Take For Gout Pain to Cure?

Before I discuss how long it takes to cure gout, you must first have a clear picture of how gout comes about and how long it takes for gout to form. What goes around comes around. If you want to cure a disease, you must track down its root because it will always come back if the root is not removed totally.

Our blood pH must always maintain mild alkalinity which is at the pH value of 7.365.

When you consume too much acidic food such as meat, seafood, bean, etc. more acid will enter the bloodstream and this will lower the pH of the blood and trigger a series of homeostasis reactions in order to counter the acidosis effect.

One of the pH balancing methods is to force those excess acids out of the bloodstream into the interstitial fluids as temporary parking. But since the acid input is ever-increasing, a portion of it will slowly seep into the synovial fluid in the joints.

When the concentration of uric acid in the synovial goes beyond the saturation level, crystallization happens and urate crystal is formed and triggers the immune reactions which result in inflammation, burning sensation, and pain, intense pain called gout.

Now you have a clear picture of how those urate crystals form in your joints. It takes years for the uric acid to reach a concentration that is saturated enough to cause crystallization.

If it takes years to form, it is going to take about the same time (or longer) to clear them off and this is only if you start the alkalizing process.

Otherwise, the crystals will only grow more and more until a stage that it has nowhere else to hide and that is when tophi or kidney stones start to show.

This all depends on which direction your lifestyle heading, acid or alkaline. If you do not take the initiative to reverse the acidosis process, your gout condition will only become worse and worse.

The longer you delay, the longer it is going to take for you to clear off those uric acid crystals.

If you still hope that someday someone will invent some magic gout drugs that can get rid of gout instantly, you are heading towards never-never land with your creeping painful feet.

There is no such thing as an instant cure for anything disease, those are only smokescreens that mask away from the symptoms or pain.

Believe it or not, the ultimate principle of achieving good health is through common sense. You must first seek to understand your enemy (gout) before you try to cure it. The sad fact is, common sense is not that common after all.

CAUTION: Now I need you to pay very close attention to this

Sex As a Natural Treatment For Gout

I wanted to laugh when I first came across this rather ridiculous suggestion on some of the online sources about natural treatments for gout. After the initial state of skepticism, I decided to do some study on this interesting topic of having sex as a natural treatment for gout.

Well, it must somehow work on some of the gout patients until this method is widely spread as one of the treatment options for gout. Some people think it works, but they just cannot explain how it works in reducing the inflammation and pain of the notorious gout attacks.

Before I explain how to have good sex as one of the methods of treating your gout, you must first understand the chemistry of sex.

We all know about the temptation and good feelings that good sex gives us. That is part of our natural instinct, and having a healthy sex life plays an important role in maintaining the well-being of our body and mind.

Scientists call sex a melting pot of the soup of bio-chemicals, the hormones. This scientific statement may somehow kill away some of the romantic sides of sex, but whatever you feel as the result of sex can actually be explained by simple science.

It is not a matter of what happens between your legs, it is about the chemical reactions that happen between your ears.

There are a few vital hormones that contribute to the pleasures (and pain relief) we feel during sexual intercourse. It starts with dopamine, which is one of the brain’s pleasure chemicals.

Dopamine is released in the ‘reward center’ of the brain when we see something that arouses our desire, such as good food and an attractive partner. Dopamine increases the pulse rate and cardiac functions which results in the ‘blushing’ effect in some people.

During sexual orgasm, your brain will push the amount of dopamine to the max and then bring it down right after the climax with the release of prolactin which prevents you from over indulge in the rush of dopamine.

Prolactin rises sharply immediately after orgasm and it is what gives you the “full” feeling after your intimate moment. Prolactin disengages you from sex after orgasm and makes room for your mind to think of other things besides the naked person lying next to you.

Besides the roller coaster ride of dopamine, there are two other sex-related neurotransmitters that contribute to the whole sensation of sex. Oxytocin, which is also known as the “cuddling hormone” is a hormone secreted by the pituitary gland when you feel affection for someone you love dearly. Oxytocin helps in creating a strong bond between you and your lover.

Oxytocin stimulates the production of endorphin which is the ‘happy neuro chemical’ that produces feelings of ecstasy and pleasure.

Endorphins fill you with a sense of well-being and relaxation and sometimes might even drift you off to sleep. Endorphin has a similar chemical structure to morphine and that explains why it has pain relief effects.

The quality of your sex life determines the levels of the above mentions hormones in your body. If you want to have sex as a treatment for gout, you must know how to ‘control’ the release of those hormones.

The best guideline is to increase the amount of oxytocin and endorphin as much as you can while minimizing the fluctuation of dopamine and prolactin.

Since oxytocin and endorphin are more emotionally related, it is good to practice longer-lasting sensual experiences with your lover instead of a lustful release of desire.

Make love, not sex. Those pain and stress relief hormones are hidden in your brain, not your sex organ. Cultivate the right feelings and emotions with your loved ones by having romantic foreplay and delaying the ejaculation for as long as you can while making sure both of you enjoy the pleasure of sex.

How to Stop Gout Pain Naturally — A Scrumptious Strawberry and Pineapple Mix!

Want to know how to stop gout pain naturally? Then you’ve landed at the right place. Here, you’ll discover how you can stop gout pain with 2 delicious fruits.

First, let’s look together at what actually causes the pain of gout. The cause is the accumulation of uric acid crystals in your joints and surrounding tissue. The affected area is bombarded by your own body’s inflammatory reaction to these ‘intruders’, and it’s this that causes the symptoms of gout; redness, swelling, stiffness, inflammation, and great pain.

So when having a gout attack, the first step is to get rid of the pain, right? Well, you do this by reducing the inflammation, which in turn helps to relieve the pain of your gout.

Of course, drug-based medication using things like NSAIDs, colchicines, and corticosteroids can help do this, and in most cases, very well. But their side effects are really bad, e.g. vomiting, nausea, stomach pains, bleeding, ulcers, etc. So that more gout sufferers are turning to totally natural methods to stop their gout pain.

There are tons of natural ways to do this, but two that can be effective are pineapple and strawberries. Now let’s look at why these are so beneficial to you as a gout sufferer…

Pineapple

The pineapple plant contains a proteolytic enzyme called ‘bromelain.’ These enzymes are capable of breaking down fibrin which is a blood-clotting protein. This means that they allow for better blood circulation and tissue drainage. They can also help prevent the production of agents that can cause inflammation.

The end result is that the consumption of pineapples can help to reduce inflammation, and so relieve gout pain naturally.

Strawberries

Strawberries are very high in vitamin C, and in one study, people who took vitamin C over several days lowered their measured blood uric acid level. Strawberries also contain flavonoids which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

The outcome is that eating strawberries may not only help to reduce the inflammation and pain of gout but also help to reduce uric acid levels.

Now you can eat these on their own, or, you can combine the two together. For years my wife has mixed together fresh pineapple (cut into cubes) and fresh strawberries (halved) in a plastic container and left it overnight in the fridge.

The next morning the juices have combined and the overall taste is just gorgeous. As a gout sufferer, you could do this nightly and have the fruit mix the next morning for breakfast. If you wish you could also add low-fat yogurt.

As I said above there are tons of natural home remedies out there and some work better than others. But, what might work for some, may not work for other gout sufferers. So you need to discover which works best for you.

But, it’s one thing to stop gout pain, it’s another to stop gout from returning time and again. And once you have suffered one gout attack, you’re highly likely to suffer more. This is bad because frequent gout attacks over time can result in you having permanently damaged joints and/or damaged kidneys.

So, not only do you need to stop gout pain, but you also need to prevent recurring gout attacks. And for this, you need more than we have discussed here.

You’re in luck though. There’s a special gout report available online [see below] that has all the information you need in one place. It is what thousands of ex-gout victims worldwide have successfully used to prevent their gout from returning. It also contains a special 2-hour gout pain relief program.

And it uses fully-researched, totally natural methods. So that you benefit in two ways: (1) you get rid of your excruciating pain very fast, and, (2) you prevent your gout from returning so that you reduce the risk of permanent damage.

10 High Protein Foods To Avoid With Gout

Gout is characterized as a health condition that affects different joints in the body, more in particular the big toe. Gout is regarded as a certain type of arthritis that usually leads to pain and inflammation in the joints.

The abrupt onset of soreness in the joints is because of the presence of abnormally high amounts of uric acid deposits in the blood.

Uric acid takes place in our bodies naturally. It is the by-product of the breakdown of proteins and purines. Purines are chemical compounds that are also naturally present in some types of foods.

When the synthesis of uric acid increases considerably, the accumulation of uric acid crystals takes place in the joints which can lead to pain and swelling.

Aside from taking some medications for gout, a proper diet is also very essential in the management and eradication of this form of arthritis. There are some foods to avoid with gout as these food items are known for prolonging the time of recovery.

These foods to avoid gout can actually aggravate the condition and lead to more discomfort among patients. Patients suffering from this form of arthritis should try to stay away from these particular foods.

Gout patients should know that some foods to avoid with gout can be foods high in protein. These certain food items are abundant in purine and they can actually worsen the symptoms of gout.

Staying away from foods that are very rich in purine content is the key to stopping the excessive synthesis of uric acids. Having a diet that is low in purine content is important in lessening the inflammation in the joints.

High Protein Foods and Gout

Belly fat, menopause, and obesity are the start of a bad relationship for high uric acid levels that lead to gout. Belly fat and high uric acid levels go hand in hand. Belly fat begins straining your organs like your kidneys. This definitely is not a love story. Gout hurts like hell!

I had a discussion with a friend the other day and I told him I had gout and the dreaded belly fat. Coming straight to the point he said, “you need to exercise more”.

No one likes to hear the truth especially when the point hit home. He was right. We want to find an excuse for getting out of anything that requires pain and sacrifice.

I am afraid to get too far away from my house because I am afraid my big toes will not let me find my way home. So I came up with this simple plan to walk in my backyard.

I put a heavy sweatshirt on and turned on my iPod. I saw my neighbor and I felt compelled to tell him I wasn’t crazy walking in circles. I had to save some of my dignity!

Red meat, fish, and organic meat are not going to work for you if you are on a uric acid diet. High-protein foods for weight loss will only make your joints hurt even more (in my case, my big toes).

You develop high uric acid levels because you’re eating high-purine foods (red meats, fish, and organic meat). Foods high in purine are creating this terrible joint pain.

Here is a list of 10 foods to avoid with gout (Many more foods could be on this list, but I started with 10):

  1. Tuna in oil
  2. Tuna
  3. Soy Sauce
  4. Sardines in oil
  5. Shrimp
  6. Turkey
  7. Trout
  8. Chicken Breast With Skin
  9. Salmon
  10. Pork

A time will come when you have to do what’s best for your health. Here is a starter list of 10 foods that are good if you are on a uric acid diet:

  1. Pear
  2. Tomato
  3. Strawberries
  4. Cucumbers
  5. Radishes
  6. Apples
  7. Fennel
  8. Lettuce
  9. Onion
  10. Spinach

Belly fat is not allowing you to do the things you want to do. In addition to gout, it prevents you from getting the exercise you need to lose those love handles.

If you have high uric acid levels, you need to be aware of foods to avoid gout. Your joints will thank you.

10 Dieting Tips to Attack Gout!

Millions of people suffer from agonizing attacks on their bodies! Gout! Maybe you are currently dealing with gout symptoms? Possibly you are attempting to help a loved one who is suffering from late-night gout attacks. You have come to the right place!

Knowledge of gout is the key to not only treating gout attacks and the disease but also preventing additional damage to your body.

Did you know that gout suffers symptoms that could include: heat, pain, redness, stiffness, swelling to the affected area, arthritis attacks that develop in hours, and other physical and emotional problems.

Unfortunately, these are not all of the symptoms. Gout can also cause high blood pressure and kidney stones if left untreated. These symptoms can also be life-threatening if left untreated.

Simply put, you need to treat your gout as soon as possible to avoid these debilitating effects. But how? By what do you eat! The food you eat. The diet you keep. The lifestyle you live!

Gout Prevention through Diet

Why treat gout with your diet? The old cliché of ‘you are what you eat could possibly hold some truth. Thousands of sufferers have gout because of their unhealthy diets. Gout has been diagnosed for over 2,000 years.

In fact, gout was once considered the “disease of kings”, primarily because it was thought gout was a result of overindulgence in fatty foods and alcohol.

Modern science has shown us that- while there are multiple reasons a sufferer could have gout attacks, thousands of people have been diagnosed with gout because of their diet!

Therefore, why not take your life back from the torturous disease of gout? Why not diet and treat your gout now and avoid flare-ups later?

10 Dieting Tips to Attack Gout before it Starts

  1. Avoid foods high in purines. Because uric acid (the cause of gout) is formed from the breakdown of purines, high-purine diets are often the cause of gout. Such foods include meats such as kidneys, liver, tripe, and tongue. Red meats also have been linked to gout attacks.
  2. Forget fish! Fish roe, scallops, and shellfish are also conducive to causing gout attacks.
  3. Watch these vegetables! Beans, lentils, asparagus, mushrooms, spinach, and peas are also high in purines!
  4. Eliminate Alcohol! If you are a man, do not consume more than 2 alcoholic drinks per day. If you are a woman, no more than one drink per day. If you are regularly having gout attacks, eliminate alcohol completely.
  5. Workout! Being overweight can lead to high levels of uric acid in your blood. Finally, get that workout membership, and try to do cardiovascular workouts at least three times a week. Start slow and don’t get burned out!
  6. Grab a dumbbell! Did you know your body will burn fat almost the whole day while it repairs muscle! Start a weight-lifting program to lose weight! Again, start slow!
  7. You heard this twice, Start slow! Fasting or losing weight too quickly can actually lead to an increased level of uric acid and worsen your gout symptoms.
  8. Drink! You should be drinking at least 10 to 12 eight-ounce glasses of water each day. Better tip: Try drinking away your gout with alkaline water with a pH of greater than 7.
  9. Dairy… Your New Best Friend! Start eating low-fat dairy products because of the low-purine count!
  10. A… B… Vitamin C! You have been alive long enough to know what foods are high in vitamin C! These Vitamin C fruits and some vegetables will help get your life back to normal!

Finally, don’t stop here! This is just the beginning of the path to getting your life back to normal and treating your gout. Life is too short to be miserable from gout.

Low Cholesterol Arthritis Diet — No Extra Pounds — Reduce Pain

Every person, young or old alike should have a healthy diet. For arthritis patients, however, a healthy diet is also one way to decrease the frequency of their arthritis attacks. Truly there is a connection between one’s diet and arthritis.

The type of arthritis diet suitable for a person with the disease is dependent on the type of arthritis or certain arthritis conditions being experienced by the individual.

An example is a diet with low purine and alcoholic content results in a decrease in levels of blood uric acid thus lessening the likelihood of experiencing a gout attack.

Excess Body Weight and Arthritis

Excess body weight affects a person afflicted with arthritis negatively because it adds more strain on the joints, and according to medical experts, those who are more or less overweight by 20% will have more arthritis attacks as compared to those who have the right body weight.

Aside from that fact, it is important to note that there are certain types of food that function as allergens, hence acting as triggers to arthritis and at the same time changing negatively the way the immune system functions.

The bottom line when speaking of the arthritis diet is that one should keep in mind that eating nutritiously and taking in well-balanced meals are vital to the well-being of an individual and that staying away from the so-called fad diets and avoiding diet claims that are not proven will help in ensuring that the body is replenished with the nutrients it needs.

Studies made which focus on the relationship between one’s diet and arthritis state that high cholesterol and high fat found in one’s diet contribute a lot to arthritis attacks.

Thus, a diet plan for the disease should be designed in order to prevent the pain and even better, eliminate the occurrence of arthritis

In a proper arthritis diet, the foods to avoid are fast food meals and foods high in starch (e.g. potatoes). As for red meat, it can be eaten but only in little amounts and one should also watch out for meals with high saturated fat levels.

On the other hand, in order to relieve pain, patients have the freedom to choose to have an arthritis diet that consists mainly of fruits that are high in vitamin C like oranges, apples, strawberries, etc.

Additional food that could help in the diet is oily fish since it contains a lot of vitamin E, and one should not forget that grains such as brown rice and wheat are also beneficial to the patients.

High-fat Western diets should be avoided since they trigger arthritis, meaning they should not be part of an arthritis diet.

Everyone who wants to be healthier should avoid that kind of diet. Instead, people should eat nutritious foods and should try a low-fat diet or cholesterol-lowering diet for weight maintenance to be long-term.

Fish Oil and Gout — Could This Be the Cure?

Gout is a painful condition that affects the joints in a person. Generally, the big toe knuckle is the first location a person begins to have trouble with. Although gout can inflict pain in any area near a joint, such as toes, ankles, elbows, and wrists.

There are many preventative measures that can be taken to fight the possibility of being diagnosed with gout and many that you can use to prevent future flare-ups from gout. There seems to be a link between fish oil and gout. A link that can minimize the discomfort of a gout attack.

Through studies and research on various vitamins, it has been indicated by astonishing results that fish oil can successfully change the severity of an attack. Fish oil has properties that are anti-y inflammatory, thus assisting with inflammation and decreasing how intense the pain can be.

Also, fish oils can promote a healthier body overall. The omega-3 fatty acids can assist in a healthier body for those individuals that do not enjoy eating fish. It induces a balance between the omega 3 and 6 oils.

For many people, taking a supplement is necessary to ensure the proper amount of fish oil is received daily for both overall health and the treatment of gout.

If you suffer from gout you should be aware of the types of fish you should avoid. As you probably know you should avoid all purine-rich foods and some fish are high in purines. If you have gout you should avoid eating sardines, mackerel, and anchovies. Instead, you might want to enlist the help of a vitamin supplement.

You can purchase fish oil supplements at almost any convenience store, pharmacy, or retail chain in your neighborhood. It is not necessary to buy the most expensive brand as long as the brand you buy is indeed fish oil.

You should, however, buy a fish oil supplement that is produced by a molecular distillation process because the dioxins and PCBs are eliminated from the supplement.

In your quest to find the best remedies for curing your gout, treating your gout, and eliminating the severity of an attack you will find many great ideas.

Among them will be a modification in diet and lifestyle, exercising, and using supplements and medication.

You will also find connecting factors between fish oil and gout, purines and gout, and alcohol and gout. If you have any questions about how to successfully live pain-free with gout you should speak with your doctor.

Treating Gout With an Alkaline Diet

It is a fact that what you eat can affect your health in one way or another, so it is not shocking to learn that some foods can also make you feel better when you are sick or have gout.

Studies show that an alkaline diet for gout is very effective in reducing uric acids, which is good for preventing flare-ups and even treating gout symptoms.

Cause and Symptoms of Gout

Gout is the most intense form of arthritis and it develops when the level of uric acid in the body is high. Typically, a gout attack affects the big toe first, you will experience excruciating pain if the flare-up is bad.

Swollen joints, warmth, and stiffness of the joints will follow, as these are other symptoms of gout. By the way, expect the pain to be worse during nighttime.

One of the trigger factors why gout attacks are purine. So, any food and drinks that have a high content of purine should be avoided such as red meat, kidneys, sweetbreads, liver, and most importantly beer to prevent the development of gout. Purine-rich drinks and foods will not just increase the possibility of developing gout, but also increase the acid level in the body faster.

Why Alkaline Diet For Gout Recommended

An alkaline diet is very effective in reducing and even eliminating the excess amount of uric acid in the body. This is possible because an alkaline diet can help maintain the required pH level the body needs to eliminate as much uric acid as possible which in return can help your gout problem.

By eating an alkaline diet you give your body the best chance to eliminate uric acid and not have to deal with any gout issues.

What Foods Are Good For Alkaline Diet for Gout

  • Cantaloupe
  • Watermelon
  • Papaya
  • Parsley
  • Grapes
  • Mango
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Kelp
  • Apple
  • Berries
  • Ripe Bananas
  • Avocado
  • Cabbage
  • Sweet corn
  • Pumpkin
  • Garlic
  • Brussels sprouts
  • Cucumbers
  • Almonds
  • Others

As an added benefit, an alkaline diet consists of foods that are healthy and low in fat. Eating these foods can aid in weight loss, digestive health, maintaining energy, reducing blood pressure, and keeping bones strong. Making an effort to include these foods will result in overall better health and well-being.

Many of the foods that are on the food pyramid are highly acidic. Because of this, the common American diet is full of foods that increase acid. Those with gout need to monitor the kinds of foods they eat.

Adjusting the diet so that it is comprised of mainly alkaline foods may take some self-discipline. In the end, it is worth it when painful flare-ups are a thing of the past.

Alkaline foods can be used to reduce the effects of uric acid as well as the time between painful gout flare-ups. However, they will generally not help during the actual flare-up.

In times of incapacitating pain, individuals need to seek immediate care from a medical professional. The doctor can prescribe pain and anti-inflammatory medicine to help relieve joint pain.

Why Curing Gout Does Not Require Medication?

When does the weight of a 4-ounce blanket feel like the weight of a 4-ton truck? When you suffer from the arthritic pain of gout. Can you relate?

If you are considering the various options for gout treatment, it is important to know that you can save hundreds of dollars and more effectively treat gout (long-term) with a gout natural treatment. In fact, a simple natural gout treatment can stop the gout pain in less than 2 hours.

However, most gout sufferers opt for the traditional method of medication and injections to decrease the arthritic pain because of convenience. Have we become that dependent upon doctors and medication for our health?

The irony of this is that naturally treating gout is often more simple, more affordable, and more convenient than the traditional treatment for gout. Let me explain why your doctor forgot to mention a centuries-old gout home remedy.

Natural Cures and Home Remedies for Gout

Did you know that research is finally catching up with natural health? Years ago, natural health was looked upon as a placebo that worked only on your crazy aunt.

However, recently (last 10 years) the science community has begun to research numerous natural cures to understand if and why infamous natural cures work. And the gout natural treatment was at the top of the researcher’s list.

As research has begun to find what remedies are legitimate and what remedies are quack, the question has appeared, “Is the medical community trying to take care of our health and leave you with an empty pocketbook?”

Why is the medical community attempting to keep simple and effective natural remedies out of hospitals? Could the money lost (billions) be too large of a blow to the money-hungry industry?

So why should you choose to naturally treat gout? Besides saving hundreds to thousands of dollars, you will also be helping your body heal holistically.

Holistic is a fancy word for ‘whole body healing’ because naturally treating gout allows your entire body to restore itself while the uric acid that causes gout is naturally flushed from your body. And the best part, research concludes that naturally treating gout is legitimate.

Does the Natural Treatment for Gout Work?

Consider this! A natural treatment that is effective, guaranteed, and WORKS in less than 2 hours! Would you try it? Of course, you would because money does NOT grow on trees and it’s guaranteed (doctors never guarantee their prescription!) And so is the proven natural treatment for gout.

The gout natural treatment uses remedies that work against the cause of gout (uric acid). By using simple fruits, simple vitamins, and a basic cooking ingredient to neutralize the acid, it is possible to cure gout in less than 2 hours.

As the neutralizer relieves the gout pain, the water-soluble fiber causes the body to flush the uric acid (the cause of gout) from the body which eliminates future gout attacks.

Imagine no more pain! No more worrying! No more gout!

But why doesn’t your doctor tell you about this?

Questions to Ponder….

Why are pharmaceutical companies labeled multi-billion dollar industries? Why do medications cost sometime 50x the amount in America than they do across the border? Why does a pharmacist get paid 6 digits for counting pills and reading instructions? And why does your doctor get paid more than your governor?

Now Listen Very Carefully Here:

Why Does Arthritis Affect Women More Than Men?

Even though Arthritis does not only affect one sex or age group for some reason it tends to affect women more than men.

Below you will find out how Arthritis affects the day-to-day lives of many women across the globe:

  • Women with this condition find that their sleep will be affected more than if they were suffering from any other chronic illness.
  • Women who have Arthritis often do not have young children.
  • Depression is quite common amongst Arthritis sufferers, especially when compared with other chronic conditions.
  • Women are more likely to need help with their daily activities than men.
  • Around two-thirds of all Arthritis sufferers are female, which works out to around 41 million Americans.
  • 37% of females have this condition, compared with only 28% of men.
  • Around the world, there are 16 million women with Osteoarthritis. This figure is 3 times higher than the number of males with this condition. You will also find that this condition develops earlier in women too.
  • 1.5 million or 75% of all Rheumatoid Arthritis patients are women.
  • African-Americans are more susceptible too with the development of Lupus 3 times more likely than Caucasian females.

Why is Arthritis so prevalent in women?

At the present time, there is no clear reason why this condition affects women more than men. There are however a few suggested reasons that may be worth exploring in more detail:

  • Autoimmune diseases are more common in women.
  • Women have a number of hormone changes throughout their lives, for example through puberty, pregnancy, and menopause.
  • Often women are not as active as men, which raises the risk level of developing these types of conditions.
  • Women store more fat than men, resulting in higher cholesterol levels that have been linked with the development of Arthritis.

What’s the best way to manage this condition?

Even if you have this condition this does not mean that your life is over as there are ways to help manage and alleviate the symptoms.

Taking a little time to research a suitable treatment will help to relieve the pain and inflammation caused. You do not need to rely solely on surgery or prescription medication either as certain foods can help, plus there are exercises and techniques shown to help.

Finally, herbal supplements are a great option to give you relief from pain and a chance at being more active in your life.

The benefit of an herbal supplement is that unlike prescription medication you won't have to discontinue its use after a short amount of time.

An effective supplement can reduce inflammation and pain and will be a safer option than those prescription medicines that often cause side effects.
